This workshop is for adults who work with, or plan to work with LGBTQ youth. Participants will gain insight into the legal, social, cultural, and therapeutic issues that affect this population. We will present theory, research, and practical activities that will benefit those who work with LGBTQ youth. Come with your questions, ideas, and best practices!

Judy Chiasson, PhD, of LAUSD’s Human Relations, Diversity & Equity
Dr. Chiasson is an educator, researcher, writer, and community activist. Dr. Chiasson is also a founder of Gays and Lesbians Initiating Dialogue for Equality (GLIDE), a speaker’s bureau that conducts over 350 workshops per year about sexual orientation and gender identity; LGBT Child Abuse Prevention Council; and the Gay, Lesbian & Allied Administrators Association (GALAA).
