Adult Chaperone

If you are planning on attending Models of Pride, and will be accompanying youth from an organization, then we would like for you to register as an adult chaperone. We allow adults to attend the youth workshops only as a chaperone. Workshops are specifically designed for the youth and we have found that having too many adults in the sessions tends to change the group dynamic. Therefore, if you do attend as a chaperone, we ask that you limit your participation to being an observer only. This allows youth the freedom to ask any questions they want and the freedom to participate at their own level of comfort.

Parent Track

This year’s conference will include a series of special workshops for parents and guardians attending the conference with (or without) their LGBTQ children. The adults-only sessions will be in their own room throughout the day and span the spectrum from: how to parent an LGBTQ youth; dealing with the coming out process; theories as to the nature of sexual orientation and gender identity and how to advocate for your child’s rights. Parent Workshops are free. October 8TH is the registration deadline. Onsite registration is available, but participation cannot be guaranteed due to limited space.
