Every
year Models of Pride provides free Shuttle Service to
and from the Conference. A Shuttle Bus picks up participants
at the Highland Park Station, Pasadena Gold Line Station
and drops them off at Oxy College in the morning. For
the evening run, participants are transported on the Shuttle
back to the Highland Park Station, Pasadena Gold Line
Station. Look for the volunteer in the MOP17 shirt for assistance.
MORNING RUN
Shuttle bus pick up from the Highland Park Gold Line Station to Occidental College: 8 to 10 am. Service stops after 10 am.
EVENING RUN
Shuttle bus pick up from Occidental College, at Gillman Fountain off Alumni Ave. (in front of the college), to the Highland Park Gold Line Station: from 4:15 to 6:15 pm. Last Shuttle departs at 6:15 pm. |

Parking Info
Street parking will be available on Campus Rd. Please park in legal spaces. Parking is available at the Visitor and Admission Parking lot, #43. You may also use the Patterson Field and Rush Gym parking lot (not numbered) located off the southeast corner of Campus/Alumni Rd.

Occidental
College is located in northeast Los Angeles in the community
of Eagle Rock, between Pasadena on the east and Glendale
on the west.
Scroll below for driving directions to the campus. Parking
is free in the lots, and there is plenty of street parking.
From West Los Angeles
- Take the San Diego Freeway (I-405) north to the Santa Monica Freeway (I-10) east.
- Follow the Santa Monica Freeway (I-10) east to downtown Los Angeles to the Harbor Freeway (I-110) north, toward Pasadena.
- Continue on the Harbor Freeway (I-110) north to the Golden State Freeway (I-5) and go north toward Bakersfield.
- Continue on the Golden State Freeway (I-5) north to the Glendale Freeway (I-2) going toward Glendale.
- From the Glendale Freeway (I-2) north, take the Verdugo Road exit.
- Turn left at the end of the off-ramp onto Eagle Rock Boulevard.
- Continue on Eagle Rock Boulevard and pass five stoplights to Westdale Avenue.
- Turn right at Westdale Avenue and follow it until it ends at Campus Road.
- At Campus Road, turn left and follow the signs to Visitor Parking
From Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley
- Take the Foothill Freeway (I-210) west to its merger with the Ventura Freeway (I-134).
- Follow the Ventura Freeway (I-134) west to the Colorado/Figueroa Boulevard exit.
- Follow the Colorado Boulevard part of the exit and stay on Colorado to Eagle Rock Boulevard (about one mile).
- Turn left on Eagle Rock Boulevard and continue past four traffic lights to Westdale Avenue.
- Turn left on Westdale and follow it until it ends at Campus Road.
- Turn left at Campus Road and follow the signs to Visitor Parking
- (Note: From the Inland Empire and other points east, you can take I-10 to I-210 and then follow the directions above.)
From the San Fernando Valley
- Take the Ventura Freeway East (I-134) through Glendale to the Harvey Drive Exit.
- Turn right at the end of the off-ramp and then turn left at the first light onto Broadway.
- Follow Broadway east for three blocks as it travels under the freeway and then merges into Colorado Boulevard.
- Continue on Colorado Boulevard to Eagle Rock Boulevard.
- Turn right onto Eagle Rock Boulevard and continue four traffic lights to Westdale Avenue.
- Turn left at Westdale Avenue and follow it until it ends at Campus Road.
- At Campus Road, turn left and follow the signs to Visitor Parking.
From Downtown Los Angeles
- Take the Golden State Freeway (I-5) and go north toward Bakersfield.
- Continue on the Golden State Freeway (I-5) north to the Glendale Freeway (I-2) going toward Glendale.
- From the Glendale Freeway (I-2) north, take the Verdugo Road exit.
