Judy Chiasson, Ph.D., Presenter

This workshop is for adults who work with LGBTQ youth. Participants will gain insight into the legal, social cultural, and therapeutic issues that affect this population. Experts in the fields of HIV/AIDS, youth suicide, transgender and gender issues, and homophobia and heterosexism will share their perspectives with us. This workshop will present theory, research, and practical activities that will be of value to those who work with LGBTQ youth.

The workshop facilitator is Dr. Judy Chiasson, Coordinator, LAUSD's Office of Human Relations, Diversity and Equity, and author of the Project 10 Curriculum, which will be distributed to all participants.

Teacher participants may receive Professional Growth Hours; LCSWs and LMFTs may receive CEUs. A $30 registration fee covers the conference fees, all materials, and a complimentary lunch. Participants MUST arrive on time (10 AM) and stay for the entire workshop (5 PM) to receive their credits.

Preregistration is now closed. However, there is still room. Onsite registration is available at 9 AM on the day of the conference. Fee is $30 for lunch, the Project 10 Curriculum, and a professional growth unit for people who stay for the entire workshop.

Workshop begins promptly at 10 AM and ends at 4:45 PM. Contact Judy Chiasson for more information at judy.chiasson@lausd.net or 213.241.5626.
